Enhancing Indoor Air Quality Estimation: A Spatially Aware Interpolation Scheme

چکیده
The comprehensive and accurate assessment of the indoor air quality (IAQ) in large spaces, such as offices or multipurpose facilities, is essential for IAQ management. It widely recognized that various factors affect well-being, health, productivity occupants. In environments, it important to assess places where difficult install sensors due space constraints. Spatial interpolation a technique uses sample values known points predict other unknown points. Unlike outdoor spatial spaces constraints, being separated into rooms by walls having facilities conditioners heaters installed. Therefore, necessary identify independent related regions utilize them interpolation. this paper, we propose groups with similar characteristics utilizes these We integrated data collected from multiple locations within an office subsequently conducted comparative experiment accuracy our proposed method comparison commonly used approaches, inverse distance weighting (IDW), kriging, natural neighbor interpolation, radial basis function (RBF). Additionally, performed experiments using publicly available Intel Lab dataset. experimental results demonstrate scheme outperformed existing methods. show was able obtain better predictions reflecting space.

Indoor Air Quality
The issues of indoor air quality are complex and can be directly influenced by a number of system and building parameters. There are no universal solutions for every problem since there are numerous potential contaminant sources. They may originate from indoors and have a direct impact on indoor environmental quality, or they may originate from outdoors and be transferred by a mechanical or nat...

Complaints in modern buildings have been attributed to inadequate ventilation for the last 20 years. Few data exist to support this claim. In fact, few studies have actually looked at ventilation and complaints at the same time. These missing studies indicate a failure of three groups of professionals, physicians and health scientists, architects and engineers, and scientists knowledgeable in e...
متن کاملIndoor Air Quality Measurement
A qualitative assessment of indoors air quality is presented, by the use of an electronic nose consisting of a gas sensor array, a data acquisition system and a pattern recognition system. The gas sensors are sensitive to gases polluting the indoors air but they are sensitive to indoors temperature and humidity as well. The data acquisition system overtakes the sensors specific response and out...
متن کاملIndoor Air Quality Estimation by Using Smart Sensing System
Indoor environment air pollution measurement has become a necessity because of global warming and climate change. All across the globe researchers are trying to monitor the pollutant gases precisely in real time. Sensing system using sensor arrays has been developed to monitor indoor environment, however, these systems are costly and have not gained wide acceptance. Precise measurement of indoo...
متن کاملIndoor Air Quality and Asthma
Numerous contaminants in indoor air and their potential to cause or exacerbate asthma continue to be a subject of public health concern. Many agents are causally associated with or can exacerbate asthma, particularly in children. For formaldehyde, an established respiratory irritant based on numerous studies, the evidence for an association with asthma is still considered only limited or sugges...
